Phoenix is a native Vancouverite, born at VGH in 1961 and moved to the Fraser Valley, (Langley), in 1968. While growing up he enjoyed playing hockey, horseback riding, martial arts, skiing and of course guitar, guitar, guitar!
After completing two years of college he decided it was time to make some money and took a job as a forklift driver/overhead crane operator. Soon it was clear that this was not the path he was destined to take and for the next five years pursued a career as a personal trainer/fitness instructor.
Phoenix became interested in hair at the age of twenty-four but it wasn't until five years later that he decided "There are no boundaries for real men!" and took the plunge into the hair and beauty industry. Now after being in the industry for almost 17 years Phoenix is a Master cutter, a fabulous colour technician and boasts becoming a Loreal Professionnel Ambassador. He says, "I now possess the ability to blend creativity with a wealth of experience allowing me to create a unique image that fits; and that is what makes me a true hair artist". On the home front Phoenix is husband to his beautiful wife Suzanne, and proud father to his two wonderful boys Easton and Garet.
